Crystal Inkpen

crystalCrystal is a kinesiologist and she completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick. Crystal’s favorite thing about her career is the people she gets to interact with. She’s most happy when she is around, as well as helping others. The whole atmosphere of sports and sports therapy is very interesting to her.

Crystal spent ten years of her younger life competitively swimming. She participated in both the 1996 and 2001 Summer Games, and competitively rowed in the Labrador Regatta for three years.

Crystal’s interests outside of work are snowboarding, sledding, and camping. Other sports she enjoys are soccer and ball hockey.

1. What are your interests outside of work? My interests outside of work are snowboarding, sledding, camping, and I love to cook and spend time with my Labrador Retriever named Karma.

2. What sports did/do you play competitively? I spent ten years of my younger life competitively swimming. I participated in both the 1996 and 2001 summer games. I also competitively rowed in the Labrador Regatta for 3 years. Other sports I enjoy are soccer and ball hockey.

3. If you could go pro in any sport what would it be? If I could go pro in any sport it would be snowboarding, especially the half pipe.

4. What music do you listen to? I listen to about all genres of music. It just depends what mood I’m in.

5. What are your favorite books to read? My favorite books to read are biographies and one of my favorite authors is Margaret Atwood.

8. What is one technology that you couldn’t live without? The one technology that I couldn’t live without would be the internet. I live far away from home and it makes it easy to stay in contact with everyone I can’t see on a regular basis.

9. What is your perfect adventure? My perfect adventure would be staying in a back country cabin for a week and heliboard all day.

10. What is your favorite thing about your career? My favorite thing about my career is the people I get to interact with. I am most happy when I am helping others. The whole atmosphere of sports and sports therapy is very interesting and challenging.
